About

This project is designed to break barriers to access by bringing employable skill training directly to women in remote, semi-urban as well as urban areas. The enrollment of women for training will be achieved mainly through community mobilization with local leaders, district administration and Staff of WDD etc.

By equipping women with market-driven skills, the project will not only enhance women economic independence but also foster their active participation in the workforce, ultimately contributing to broader social and economic empowerment, as envisaged in Punjab Growth Strategy and SDGs.

Professional training in hospitality and service industry for careers in hotels, restaurants, and event management.

Eligibility Criteria

Digital Skills (Mein Digital)

  • Rural women: 90% (up to 30 years), 10% (30+ years)
  • 16 years of education or equivalent
  • Rural area defined by LG&CD or Pakistan Bureau of Statistics

Hospitality

  • Females from across Punjab, aged 18–45 years
  • Minimum education: Matric
  • Valid CNIC with Punjab domicile
  • Priority: widows, divorcees, low-income

Beautician

  • Females from across Punjab, aged 18–45
  • Minimum education: Literate
  • Valid CNIC with Punjab domicile
  • Priority: widows, divorcees, low-income

Quantifiable Outputs

Trained Participants

A target of around 5,365 women to be trained in three market-driven trades

Skill Development

Participants will acquire skills in digital marketing, hospitality, beautician services, financial literacy, and soft skills

Economic Empowerment

Graduates would have the potential to become self-employed or achieve job placement
