Construction of Women Development Office Complex, Sabzazar, Lahore
The main objective of this scheme is to construction for the establishment of Women Development Offices Complex in Lahore and lays the foundation of state of the art building to accommodate offices of Women Development Department, Directorate of Women Development, PCSW, PDCF Society, PWWEF Society.
Construction of Multi-Purpose Complex, Jubilee Town, Lahore
The main objective of this scheme is to construction for the establishment of Multi-purpose Complex in Lahore. It is also envisaged that the Complex shall house a model Day Care Centre (DCC) and skills training center and multipurpose hall for seminars.
Integrating Women with Disabilities into Mainstream
Women Development Department (WDD) has initiated a scheme titled “Integrating Women with Disabilities into Mainstream” in Punjab. The project aims at collection, analysis and meaningful compilation of data and other forms of information regarding women with disabilities, with the main objective of development of distinct policies for women with disabilities. The methodology will consist of data collection from the relevant agencies, particularly in the public sector, and consultative sessions with relevant stakeholders from both the public and private sector.
Objectives of the Project:
- To conduct a study for collection of data and information regarding women and girls with disabilities in Punjab
- To conduct dialogues and discussions with stakeholders
- To map information and activities being undertaken for women with disabilities across public, non-governmental and private sector
- To engage with stakeholders such as Social Welfare Department, TEVTA, PVTC etc. in order to initiate work on development of skills/ vocational training modules of women with disabilities
- To conduct workshops and stakeholder consultation regarding provision of facilities such as ramps, special washrooms, wheel chairs in public and private sector organizations/office, educational institutes etc and to provide an enabling environment for women with disabilities
Awareness Campaign Regarding Initiatives on Women Empowerment Package Phase -III
Creating awareness on initiatives, launched by the Government for the creation of enabling environment for women in various sphere of life. Developing better coordination and capacity building of employees of public / autonomous bodies for effective implementation of all initiatives regarding women empowerment. Lobbying and awareness of stakeholders and different segments of the society by means of hands on workshops, tasks and seminars. Dissemination of women empowerment initiatives to general public through effective media strategies using all modes i.e. electronics, print, social media, documentaries, radio broadcasting etc.. Celebration of women related national and international events / days.
Establishment of Working Women Hostels in Rented Buildings
The main objective is to facilitate those women who come from other places for work, and provide secure and quality residence, so that they may feel at home and work with the peace of mind. The Women Development Department, Punjab, being the principal organization for women development and empowerment, planned to establish working women hostel at Sialkot, to ensure active participation of women in employment. Following are the main objectives of this scheme: -
- Establishment of Hostel for Working Women with a capacity to accommodate 25 residents at one time.
- Provision of safe, secure quality accommodation facility for the working women coming from out station for work.

The main objective of the scheme is construction of building of Working Women Hostel, Rahim Yar Khan to ensure provision of safe, secure economical and quality accommodation services to working women in Rahim Yar Khan.
Establishment of Day Care Centers through Punjab Day Care Fund Society
- The main objective of the scheme is to provide funds to Punjab Day Care Fund (PDCF) Society for the establishment of Day Care Centers (DCCs), on a co-finance basis, in public sector organizations to make workplaces women friendly.
- This project will also help to facilitate the working women of the Province to look after their kids during working hours because all DDCs are being established within the premises of the concerned organizations with complete required facilities.
- Another purpose of the project is to establish DDCs on a permanent basis for which the initial cost required for establishment as well as the one-year operational cost is the responsibility of the Women Development Department. After a year DDC will work on a self-sustainable model under the supervision of respective organizations.
- Furthermore, the project is to create a peaceful working environment for the female workforce in the organization and they can work with peace of mind during their working hours with good care of their kids next to their workplace.
- To make the signature initiative a success story under this project, a dedicated wing will be established at the Directorate of Women Development to meet the requirements of existing 437 Day Care Centers as well as for further expansion.
