Women Development Department endeavors to ensure equality, equal opportunities, and dignity of life for women as these are the key factors that play a key role in sustainable economic growth and social development. To achieve these objectives, Women Development Department has been organized a two (02) days training on “Gender Mainstreaming, Gender Responsive Planning and Gender Responsive Budgeting with officers of Cooperatives Department on 13th & 14th September 2023. The purpose is to build the capacity of officers about basic knowledge and ethical principles regarding gender. Therefore, they can effectively implement strategies to bring women into the mainstream and play a positive role for the betterment of society. On this occasion, Ms. Samira Samad, Secretary, Women Development Department highlighted that when women have equal opportunities with men, the family and society will grow. So, it is the responsibility of the state to play a key role in providing women's rights and equal opportunities in the society on the basis of gender equality.
