The inaugural meeting of the Punjab Technical Working Group (TWG) on Gender Integration Across Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was held today at the Planning & Development Board, Lahore.
Chaired by the Chief Economist, P&D Board (Convenor) alongside representation from the Women Development Department (Co-Convenor) led by the Additional Secretary, Ms. Faiza Ahsan, this provincial coordination mechanism brings together key government departments, UN agencies, academia, and civil society partners.
During the session, the Additional Secretary, Women Development Department presented an overview of Punjab’s gender landscape and endorsed strategic priorities aimed at embedding gender responsiveness across all sectoral policies, planning, and development projects.
