Directorate of Women Development (DWD) is an arm of Government of the Punjab under administrative control of Women Development Department, Punjab. This office has the mandate to implement the policies to enhance Women Development, accelerate Gender Mianstreaming, promote Gender equality & equity as well as enhance the women role in overall National Development. Currently, this office is managing 16 Working Women Hostels (WWHs), 18 Women Development Centres established in public sectors universities, Punjab Day Care Fund (PDCF) Society, Punjab Working Women Endowment Fund (PWWEF) Society and Annual Development Programs in favour of Women Development across Punjab. Moreover, the Directorate has the aim to increase its services to across the province as early as possible.
