A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Ms. Saadia Taimur, Parliamentary Secretary for Women Development, and Mr. Usman Ali Khan, Secretary Women Development Department Punjab, with sub-organizations of international institutions working for women’s development. The meeting reviewed the measures being undertaken across the province under the “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence” campaign.
It was decided to establish a Technical Working Group to develop a joint strategy for achieving the objectives of both the 16-day campaign and the upcoming year. The participants agreed on the need for coordinated efforts to promote women’s rights and advance their social and economic empowerment.
