TEVTA in Collaboration with Women Development Department Hosted an Interactive Event for Female Students from different Colleges and Institutes of TEVTA in Lahore To empower young female students by making them aware of the legal frameworks covering their rights and protection, Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), in collaboration with the Women Development Department, organized an interactive event for female students. The event was held at the Youth Affairs & Sports Department Auditorium in Lahore where about 150 female students from Government College of Technology for Women Lytton road, GCT Railway road and Government Vocational Training Institutes (GTTIs), Lahore. Madam Sumaira Samad, Secretary, Women Development Department from Govt. of Punjab, delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the importance of women’s rights and encouraged the students to be aware of the opportunities available to them. Her insightful speech served as a source of concrete knowledge and strength for the young trainees, highlighting the critical role which women play in shaping a society. The event was coordinated and arranged by Ms. Qurat-ul ain ain Memon, Chief Operating (COO) TEVTA, facilitated by Ms. Uzma Nadia, Principal of GCTW, Lahore, alongside other faculty members. COO TEVTA highlighted that such events shall be arranged for rest of the girl students of TEVTA in rest of cities of Punjab too. The students were also sensitized that TEVTA and the Women Development Department shall foster a supportive environment for female students for advancing their educational and professional development as a regular feature in sha ALLAH.
