16 Days of Activism against gender based violence, 2023, started with the International day for the elimination of violence against women and girls on 25th November, 2023. Women Development Department, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Punjab launched the 16 days campaign by illuminating the Minare Pakistan and the Punjab Assembly building in orange colour and held an event at Minar e Pakistan for creating awareness regarding violence against women and girls and the steps taken by the government of Punjab for eliminating this violence. The orange colour symbolizes a brighter future, free of violence The campaing will continue for 16 days under the theme “ unite! Invest to prevent violience against women and girls:”
