A delegation of senior government officials from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) visited Women Development Department (WDD) Government of the Punjab on June 22nd, 2023. The delegation included senior officers from the Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment Department, KPK Commission on the Status of Women, and Social Protection & Gender Mainstreaming section of Planning and Development Department. Secretary, WDD warmly welcomed the delegation and highlighted the major initiatives and efforts undertaken by WDD for the betterment and women’s empowerment in Punjab. This would have included discussing various programs, policies, and projects implemented by the department to address issues related to gender equality, gender mainstreaming, women empowerment, and the protection of women's rights. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the programs and initiatives undertaken by Women Development Department in Punjab for the promotion of women's rights and development. The delegation sought to gain insights and knowledge from the experiences and practices implemented by the WDD in Punjab.
