Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) organized a workshop on 20.06.2023 at Government Technical Institute Mughalpura, Lahore. The purpose of the workshop was to strengthen the capacity of P-TEVTA and PVTC in incorporating gender considerations into their policies, programs, and practices. These institutions can ensure equal opportunities for both men and women in technical and vocational trainings, which leads to enhanced workforce participation and empowerment of women in Punjab by effective gender strategy. As a representative of the Women Development Department, Mr. Muhammad Najeeb, Deputy Secretary (Admn/ Planning), participated in the workshop actively and provided valuable inputs. He also discussed to review the draft on gender strategy and prepared a document based on expert’s recommendations on gender mainstreaming and women empowerment
