Gender Based Violence (GBV) is a key political and social concern and its prevalence in society requires urgent and effective measures for a cross-cutting response for its eradication. In recent years, there have been policy, legislative and institutional measures in Punjab to help resolve this problem. In this context, Women Development Department (WDD) organized a consultative session on GBV on 13th June, 2023, at 10:00 am in Punjab Institute of Language, Art & Culture (PILAC), Lahore. GBV Session is an important event that seeks to address the pressing issues of gender-based violence and foster collaboration between various stakeholders, including government departments and civil society organizations. On this occasion Secretary, WDD focused to identify best practices and innovative approaches for addressing GBV in Punjab through dialogue and develop a set of actionable recommendations to enhance the response on GBV in Punjab.
