A consultative session group meeting on "Building Bridges for Women in Peace" held on June 1st, 2023, in Lahore had the primary objective of fostering working relationships among women peace architects, diverse state and non-state actors. During the meeting, Ms. Sumaira Samad, Secretary of the Women Development Department (WDD), emphasized the significance of supporting women's inclusion in Technical and Vocational Education (TVE) strategies and policies. Ms. Samad acknowledged that without ensuring the inclusion of women, it would be impossible to effectively address the issues they face. Ms. Sumaira Samad expressed her gratitude for the invitation to the session and commended the organizers for arranging such an important and informative meeting. Her acknowledgment highlights the value placed on promoting dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders in order to empower women in peacebuilding efforts.
