Women Development Department (WDD) endeavors to ensure equality, equal opportunities, and dignity of life for women as these are the key factors that play a key role in sustainable economic growth and social development. To achieve these objectives, WDD has been organized trainings with various government departments on Gender Mainstreaming, Gender Responsive Planning and Gender Responsive Budgeting in FY 2022-23. In this context, WDD organized a two days training with officers of Public Prosecution Department on 08-09 May 2023. The purpose of which was to build the capacity of officers of Public Prosecution Department about the basic knowledge and ethical principles regarding gender. Therefore, they can effectively implement strategies to bring women into the mainstream and play a positive role for the betterment of society. On this occasion, Ms. Samira Samad, Secretary, Women Development Department highlighted that when women have equal opportunities with men, the family and society will progress. So, it is the responsibility of the state to play its important role in highlighting the potential of women on the basis of gender equality.
