In collaboration with UNWOMEN, WDD conducted a Legal Gap Analysis of pro-women legislation. Various Federal and Provincial laws were analyzed from a gender perspective, to highlight gaps.
- Study highlighted Normative Gaps (absence or inadequate legal definitions attributed to persistent acts and circumstances depriving women and girls of their rights) and Implementation Gaps (discusses the status of implementation of pro-women legislation promulgated in Punjab).
- Study included 07 normative and 11 implementation gap analyses of Punjab Laws while 10 normative and 07 implementation gap analyses of Federal Laws was conducted.
- Launch was held virtually
- UNWOMEN representatives and twenty five (25) Government of Punjab Departments joined through Zoom.
