The “Digital Defenders: Empowering Society Against Online Abuse” event at UET Lahore brought together students, faculty, and digital safety advocates as part of the 16 Days of Activism campaign. Speakers included Ms. Ammarah Wakeel, Rohini Lakshané, and Ms. Minahil Farooq, who shared important insights on digital abuse, AI-based threats, and cyber harassment laws. Ms. Faiza Ahsan, Additional Secretary of the Women Development Department, also joined and highlighted the need for safer digital spaces. The event ended with shield presentations and a shared commitment to stand against all forms of physical and digital violence.
