PCSW, WDD and PODA jointly organized a consultative session on Marriage Age Legislations and Family Laws in Muslim Countries with comparison of Pak family laws. Six Muslim countries scholars and researchers Amal Basha from Yemen, Andi Nur Faizah from Indonesia, Prof. Aziz Mechout from Morocco, Badar Bin Salim Bin Hamadan from Oman, Balarabe A. Haruna from Nigeria, and Saimum Reza Talukder from Bangladesh and 6 MPAs Punjab Assembly, Rushda Lodhi, Uzma Kardar, Safia Saeed, Fatima Begum, Nasreen Begum, Mumtaz Sumbal Maalik Hussain, and former MPA Shameela Aslam participated.
Whereas, representatives from Pak Punjab departments and CSOs attended the session including Khateeab Badashi Mosque Lahore.
Session was started with recitation of Holy Quran and opening welcome remarks by Ijaz Ahmed Joyia Secretary PCSW.
Additional Secretary WDD Faiza Ahsan concluded the session and distributed shields and certificates among the participants in recognition of their valuable contributions to the discourse.
